Stubben 2436 Single Jointed Sweet Copper Baucher Bit

The Baucher bit is known for its stable position in the horse’s mouth. The side cheeks ensure that the bit sits calmly and evenly, leading to a consistent connection between the rider’s hand and the horse. When the reins are taken up, the Baucher bit tilts and acts towards the corners of the mouth, which can lead to improved collection.

The single broken mouthpiece lies more steadily in the mouth than a double-jointed mouthpiece and distributes pressure across the horse’s bars, while the centre joint reduces pressure on the tongue. The Sweet Copper mouthpiece has a slightly sweet taste, which is well accepted by horses and can encourage chewing.
